MUD trains hundreds of students from around the world every year to enable them to work in fashion, film, and television. Its specialties include beauty makeup artistry, character makeup and special makeup effects. With its flagship campus in Los Angeles, and branches in New York City, Berlin, Philippines, Antwerp, Milan, Gent and Guatamela, its entry into Mumbai, the hub of Bollywood, is significant.
The institute has simultaneously planned a strategic collaboration for its photography programme, with Bollywood photographer Rohan Shrestha.
“We are excited to bring the world’s leading make-up academy to India,” said Gupta. “With MUD, one will experience the first-ever curriculum led education to makeup and prosthetics. Above all, makeup will now be inventive and original and within the timelines of global trends.”
Rohan Shrestha said, “I have never had an opportunity to learn photography through a curriculum-led course. I intend to entwine the classroom theories with a firsthand introduction to photography on a fashion shoot for the course, to provide aspirants the right push to lift their passion into profession.”
The academy is now accepting enrolments.
